This was the best moving experience I've had thus far. They are an honest company with fair prices. The salesperson Danny is very friendly & cooperative and completely understood my every need which made me feel comfortable in knowing my belongings are going to be in good hands. Pete, Henry & Danny arrived promptly on the day of the move. These guys are great! This was no easy task for them because I have stairs, a little landing & more stairs and some of my furniture is quite large & awkward. Also I had tons of boxes! They worked very hard, took much care with our stuff, & finished on a timely basis. Pete was meticulous in how he packed the truck so everything fit perfectly. We weren't able to move into our new home the same day, so the company was willing to hold our stuff overnight and the price was reasonable. The next morning the same three guys once again arrived promptly. Once again they moved our stuff in with the same expertise and care. Henry impressed me with one piece of furniture I have. It is a huge entertainment center that is very old and has about 12 pieces that have to be put together. He was very careful with it and serious about how to put it back together. All three of these guys were compliant with our every request. There were some points for us when we got a little confused and overwhelmed about where to put what, but all three of them were able to offer suggestions and helpful tips which made the move in much more easier. I actually felt like all three of them moved my stuff as if it were their own so I was confident in knowing my things were safe with them and trusted their judgment! These guys worked great together so the move out and in went extremely well! Super friendly people! So polite as well! I offered them water and food and most of the time politely refused. Pete never took anything, but do have room temperature water for Henry and coffee with milk no sugar for Danny lol. But seriously I highly recommend this company, you will not be disappointed. I'd absolutely recommend Your Hometown Mover above any other moving company. This was the best moving experience I've ever had.
I contracted with Hometown Movers to move a large crate from a loading dock to my house. The company was informed of the size of the crate, and agreed to move it. There was quite a bit of coordination required, which we got through, eventually. The pickup had to be rescheduled due to crew nonavailability. They showed up a bit late on the rescheduled date, with three people and inadequate equipment to complete the job. After half an hour of discussing things with the owner, they decided that they could not handle it, charged me for several hours of work and left.
2. (and honestly, more important to me) Jake was very nice when I spoke with him. He had no problem with my need to actually stop at two locations. Also the guys that I worked with were AWESOME! They were very friendly. They also worked hard to keep me within my budget. Customer service is the most important part of business. I made a few changes to what I wanted moved while they were loading the van. No attitude, they just did it with a smile.
Good moving experience.. Finally a mover in Dutchess County that is reasonably priced and getting the move done no issues. Good movers..

Just had a move. 1 bedroom apt. Very professional and nice guts. The truck was loaded in an hour. Went to new location and unloaded it in same time. No damage. I'd use them again and would recommend.
